The company has now confirmed that Bing Chat is expanding to other browsers but has not made an official announcement yet.

Caitlin Roulston, the PR Director at Microsoft, stated in an email statement: "As part of our testing on other browsers, we are testing user access to Bing Chat on Safari and Chrome." "Once our standard testing procedures are completed, we look forward to expanding access to more users."

According to those who have accessed the Bing AI chatbot on Windows, they received a pop-up window in the Windows 10 or 11 taskbar asking them to enable the Microsoft Bing extension. Enabling the extension sets Bing as the default search engine and opens the Bing homepage.

WindowsLatest pointed out that in Chrome, Bing Chat only supports up to 5 messages per conversation instead of 30 messages like in Microsoft Edge. The website also mentioned that it limits character count to 2,000 instead of the supported 3,000 in Edge.

In addition to adding support for Chrome and Safari, it seems that Bing Chat is also testing a native dark theme but it hasn't been widely used yet.
