Google Play 服务终止对 Android 4.4 KitKat 的支持Google Play services will no longer support Android 4.4 KitKat.

 谷歌今天表示，Play 服务将在 8 月份放弃对已有近 10 年历史的 Android 4.4 KitKat （API 级别 19 和 20）的支持。

当 Android 设备停止每月获取操作系统更新时，它们会在相当长的一段时间内继续接收新版本的 Google Play 服务。这项 backend 服务为 Google 向应用程序开发人员提供的一系列功能提供支持，同时还有许多由它提供支持的第一方功能。这包括 Google 提示两步验证和备份。

谷歌表示，截至 2023 年 7 月，随着越来越多的用户更新到最新的 Android 版本，KK 的活跃设备数量已低于 1%。因此，在未来版本的 Google Play 服务更新中不再支持 KK。KK 设备将不会收到 23.30.99 版本以后的 Play 服务 APK。

 Play 服务专门放弃了对 API 级别 19 和 20 的支持。值得注意的是，API 级别 20 是专门针对 Android Wear 的初始版本的。

Google announced today that Play services will no longer support Android 4.4 KitKat (API levels 19 and 20), which has been around for nearly a decade, starting in August.

When Android devices stop receiving monthly OS updates, they will continue to receive new versions of Google Play services for a considerable period of time. This backend service supports a range of functionalities provided by Google to app developers, as well as many first-party features it supports. This includes Google Prompt two-step verification and backup.

According to Google, as of July 2023, the number of active KK devices has dropped below 1% as more users update to the latest Android version. Therefore, KK will no longer be supported in future updates of Google Play services. KK devices will not receive any Play services APK versions after 23.30.99.

Play services specifically discontinues support for API levels 19 and 20. It is worth noting that API level 20 was specifically designed for the initial version of Android Wear.
